Are you overly attached?
It's so interesting watching people hold tight to their opinions and their need to be right throughout the past 616 days.
But at what cost?
Isn’t it more important to get it right, than be right?
Personally, I'm willing to be wrong.
I question everything.
And I'm not attached to the idea of being right.
Do I have my opinions? You bet I do.
Do I think some people are pretty fucking crazy right now? Without a doubt.
Yet, when I look with compassionate eyes - without getting tangled up in the weeds of the physical - I remember that it’s their truth, that we're each on our own journey and that each perspective should be respected - even if it’s opposed to mine.
And then I bless them.
It reminds me to look more deeply at my own beliefs and question things more.
It reminds me to get off of my high horse and be open to the possibility that I'm wrong - about a lot of things.
It reminds me to stay unattached and not hold things so tightly.
It reminds me to ask better questions.
It reminds me to stay committed to Truth.
It reminds me to be even more loving and compassionate.
It reminds me to treat others the way I want to be treated - with love, respect and grace.
The point of freedom and power resides in being unattached.
Perhaps it’s time to choose freedom?
