Are you prepared?

I keep hearing the phrase, "Get your house in order."

It's intriguing.

It's definitely a wake up call.

And for some, it can be the kick in the ass they need.

It's got me thinking - and questioning - and taking little steps.

I'm not allowing it to scare me, just motivate me.

I feel more empowered when I'm informed, when I'm prepared and when I play out worst case scenarios.

It's really made me realize how much we - as a people and a society - take for granted.

Water. Heat. Gas. Electricity. Money. Food. Transportation. Communication. Jobs. Freedom. Safety.

Hopefully the past year of this "pandemic" has taught everyone that we definitely can't take things for granted, but I'm not sure how much it's actually motivated people into action.

What does "getting your house in order" mean for you and your family?

Would you be ready for even a week of no electricity?

It's crazy to think about and yet it never hurts to be prepared.

Take some time to think about what you already have, what you need, what you should know how to do, what steps you need to take and create a plan that you execute on - and start.

We're definitely blessed to have access to everything we need and it's hard to imagine any of it not being readily available - but anything is possible - so why not take the necessary steps to be prepared and have peace of mind now?
