Be a life-long student
I’ve been on the personal growth path for as long as I can remember – but pretty intensely since 2008 when I first started the seminar scene.
I love books and courses the way most women love their shoes.
The world is literally at our fingertips thanks to the internet and good old fashioned books.
There is so much wisdom being so generously shared – I’m like a kid in a candy store each and everyday.
There truly is no excuse for not learning and growing daily.
Part of committing to growth means always being a student, being teachable, being open and willing to learn – and being humble.
Ask questions.
Be okay with not knowing.
If you are one of those people who always says “I know…” then you’re likely limiting yourself.
Your brain won’t search for the answers if you think you know it all already, so you’re missing out on learning something new.
Be open to learning from everyone and everything – even if you’re learning what not to do.
If you want things to change you have to change – which probably means you need to learn something in order to create that change.
The important thing is to be resourceful and persistent. The answers are there, you just need to find them.
And don’t forget that the answers are always within, so cultivating that quiet time where you become a vessel for your Higher Self to flow through and provide the answers is an even better way to get the answers you are looking for.
You don’t have to be as passionate as I am about learning, but finding something to learn each day will keep your mind sharp and give you something more intelligent to talk about then what happened on the latest episode of your favourite tv show – and in my opinion it’s way more fun too.
Be curious.
There’s a whole world out there for each of us to discover and we’ve really only scratched the surface.
