Be willing to admit you're wrong
There’s no shame in being wrong.
I get it wrong a lot – but I learn, update my belief or opinions and move on. And of course, when appropriate I apologize.
My beliefs and opinions are constantly changing and being updated through experience, through research and with new information.
I’m open and willing.
Ultimately I’m committed to the Truth.
I’m interested in what’s right – not in being right.
It’s a very freeing place to be.
Are there times when my ego gets the better of me and I want to be right? Definitely. But as soon as I realize that my ego got ahold of me again I adjust and continue.
Don’t be the guy who knows he’s wrong, but his ego has such a tight hold on him that he’s more committed to where he has “staked his claim” – than learning and growing. That’s just silliness.
Just admit you’re wrong, apologize, and get on with things!
We all make mistakes, that’s part of our journey in human form.
We’re here to grow and evolve.
And if people can’t accept that, then just send them love and know that that’s their opportunity to grow too.
