Challenge your thinking

My Course in Miracles workbook lesson for today reminded me that “I am entitled to miracles.”

It’s funny watching what comes up around some of the languaging used within the course – and that’s part of the fun of this year long journey and mind re-training.

For me, the word “entitled” is pretty loaded and definitely triggered me.

And yet, I contemplate what if that were true? What if we were each entitled to miracles?

I could allow that word entitled to totally derail me and miss the message in its entirety – or I could read the lesson with the love and intention with which the message was delivered and glean the miracles. It’s up to me.

The course really opens up your mind and challenges your thinking and beliefs, which is why I keep returning to it and enjoy having it as part of my daily practice.

I purposefully embrace what challenges my current thinking and has me questioning my beliefs.

I’m here to grow, evolve and awaken – and I won’t do that with the same thinking that got me here.

So many of the thoughts and beliefs we have are not even our own – they’ve been dripping in since we were in the womb, from our parents, our families, school, music, radio, the internet, etc – which is why it’s so important to explore your beliefs and really challenge your thinking.

Ask yourself why you believe something. Is it true for you now? Or are you just running on autopilot, believing thoughts that aren’t even yours, thoughts and beliefs that you’ve unconsciously picked up along the way and never really analyzed?

These thoughts and beliefs are running in the background and impacting you in ways that you aren’t even aware of – and effecting the way you live life today and the decisions you make.

Perhaps it’s time to update those beliefs and take your life in a new direction?
