Control what you can control
I often don’t have a clue what’s going on in the world around me – and that’s by design.
I may not control the outside world, but I can control the actions I take each day, and I can set up my environment to better support my goals, the life I want to create and the impact I want to have.
By not hooking in to the news or social media, I get more time to focus on what’s important to me and I’m not drained by the drama. It just feels good.
My attention, my energy, my feelings, my actions, my attitude, my health – they’re all within my control.
Each day it’s up to me to do what I need to do to stay healthy, to keep my energy high and to be happy.
I control what goes in my brain and in my body. I choose the books I read, the courses I take and the audios I listen to. I choose the foods I eat, the amount of water I drink and whether or not I will have alcohol.
I control how much or how little I move my body.
I control the air I breathe and the quality of each breath I take.
I control the amount and quality of sleep I get each evening.
I control my come from – how I see the world and whether something is happening to me or for me.
I control how I react or respond.
You get to control those things for yourself too.
