Do the little extra

To say my daughter loves the colour pink is an understatement. To combine pink with her favourite holiday – and add the element of surprise would be a home run for her.

So I decided to give her a little Christmas present early. 

She has been bugging me to get the outdoor Christmas lights up – but I have been resistant because I came up with a better plan.

I found the perfect gift for her – pink Christmas lights. Who knew they even existed.

I was just going to wrap up the boxes and give them to her – but instead, while she was busy in her room I snuck outside, hung them up, plugged them in and then when completed, I lead her outside with her eyes closed for the great reveal.

She loves that stuff, lol.

Doing that little extra – hanging the lights and then surprising her, made all the difference. There would have been no “wow” factor in just receiving a couple boxes of lights.

This was much more fun. Her reaction was awesome and she absolutely loved them. 

Mission accomplished. 

It’s so easy to just do that little extra and how it makes people feel is priceless.
