Find your peace
In each moment – no matter what’s going on in the world around us – we can choose to find peace.
It’s most easily found when you’re “here,” present, in this moment – not concerned about the past or the future.
You can find peace in nature, on a trail, listening to the river, watching the birds, or losing yourself in the sky.
It can be found sitting in a quiet space, lighting a candle, burning some incense and meditating.
You can even find it amongst the noise and chaos.
Peace can be found right now, in this moment – wherever you are – just by pausing, returning to the body and simply taking one or two conscious breaths.
I find the greatest peace when I slow my breath, come into my body and return to this present moment, noticing the different sensations – feeling my feet and my hands – and consciously following my breath as it runs up and down my body.
It’s home. It feels good. I can do it anywhere, at anytime.
Whatever peace is for you – give yourself the gift of returning to it often, your body will thank you.
All it takes is a conscious choice – and it’s always in your control.
