Make time for what matters

Today I had a choice point – do my homework – or spend time with my daughter.

I wisely chose my daughter.

Those moments together are precious gifts of time that mean so much to me and time I may never have with her again.

It pains me to acknowledge that I don’t always make the “right” choice and yet, I’m so grateful that today I knew better.

She is always what matters most.

I know there are days when I take our time together for granted, which can be easy to do when you live together.

What kids want most – at every age – is our love, and as I learned many years ago, they spell love a little differently than we do – they spell it t-i-m-e.

Being a mom is truly the greatest honour in my life and my kids have been my greatest blessings and my best teachers.

I am so grateful for each moment I have with Josh and Taylor – they are what matters most in my world – and I hope they always know and feel that.
