My greatest honour

I don’t see raising kids as an accomplishment but as an honour and a privilege – and not one I take for granted.

Being a mom to both Josh and Taylor has been such a blessing to me.

They truly are my two favourite people and my two greatest teachers. 

Polar opposites in some ways and two peas in a pod in others.

Today is Mother’s day, and it was a very special one for me with lots of unexpected quality time with both kids – one on one time as well as family time. Cooking, painting, dinner, outdoor fire, wonderful conversations. Lots of love.

As I think about the 23 and 25 years that they’ve blessed my life, the beautiful memories we’ve created together and the joy they’ve brought me, I can’t help but feel so lucky and blessed to have given birth to these beautiful souls and been given the honour of being their Mom.

It still humbles me that they chose me.

Words can never express the love and gratitude that fills my heart because of them.

They have given my life a meaning and purpose that is hard to describe, but one I hope to live up to one day.

Thank you Divine for entrusting me with these two special souls, for the love I get to experience through them, for the growth and wisdom I continue to gain because of them and for  each of the blessings I receive on a daily basis just being their Mom.

I love you Josh and Taylor – always and forever, no matter what. xo <3
