Off track again
It’s comforting knowing how often an airplane is actually off course during their flight – and yet they still make it to their destination.
Why would I think my life would be any different? Of course things aren’t going to perfectly, that’s unrealistic.
Is it frustrating and discouraging?
Yes, it definitely can be.
But I also know that it doesn’t have to be – that’s a choice I’m making.
And, I can also choose to use that frustration to propel me forward, instead of making things worse.
On the bright side, I didn’t get too far off track that I’m not able to course correct – and I see it all as part of the process and part of my learning.
In the past, falling off track – and letting my inner brat win – often lead me down some very discouraging spirals that were hard to bounce back from, so I’m grateful that I’m catching myself sooner.
That’s progress in the right direction.
Each time we get off track we have the opportunity to pick ourselves up, learn and begin again.
We’re building character.
Use it to your advantage.
Just don’t quit.
