Sometimes conversations don’t go as planned and the message you’re delivering isn’t being received in the way you had intended.

It’s in those moments where it’s so important to be present with whom you’re speaking with, be fluid in your approach – and willing to abort mission or pivot.

When one is so needing to be right and wanting to get their point across – regardless of how it’s being received – it’s a sure sign that the ego has taken over.

The saying “do you want to be right or do you want to be happy?” comes to mind.

To be effective, we first need to ensure that we’re coming from Love and in service for the higher good – not just appeasing our ego or fulfilling our desire to be right.

All minds are joined – and our intentions can be felt.

Although it may not be our responsibility how someone receives something, it is our responsibility to deliver it with love and  good intent.

And if someone is just not receiving it in the way it was intended, have the awareness to take a step back and re-evaluate the situation.

Maybe it’s your energy. Maybe the timing isn’t right. Maybe they’re not open.

Be less attached to the need to be heard – or the need to be right – and more interested in ensuring a positive outcome for both.
