Releasing expectations
It’s so easy to have expectations before an encounter, before an event or before an occasion.
In my experience, having expectations can easily set you up for failure or disappointment and it’s often just projecting our own stories and illusions onto others.
Instead, consider releasing expectations and make room for possibilities and for the unknown.
Be open to what is.
Create space for Presence.
This also creates space for another person to show up differently – without your preconceived ideas of who or how they “should” be.
Be open to who will show up. Get curious. Get excited. Be pleasantly surprised.
Allow for something new to unfold.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if in each moment we didn’t bring in the past – or the future – and were just fully available to what this moment had to offer?
