Remember to pause

When we’re grounded and coming from Love, we’re not reactive and we respond with love.

It may take a breath – or ten.

It may take a minute – or even a day.

But taking that pause to “come home” – or come onto the core, or come onto Self – will ensure that your response is given from a place of Love and will increase the chances of it being received with love.

We can’t control others – although we can influence them – and we can definitely control our response and actions.

At first it takes discipline to not react – to either walk away, or put away your phone – but it can make all the difference in the world in your relationships.

Of course, any upset or trigger is an opportunity for you to go within and do the work, and to extend more love and compassion to the other person who – unbeknownst to both of you – is just there to help you grow.

Each opportunity is a gift – but you may have to take a moment to pause to be able to receive it.
