Set yourself up to win

I’ve realized that I’ve been overcomplicating things and it’s getting in the way of me winning the day.

It’s more important to create the momentum and the belief in myself, to stack the wins and the successes – then to make things too difficult to accomplish in the given timeframe.

There’s growth opportunities in both, however, I’m more interested in being in flow so that things can be fun and so that I’m consistently making progress.

It’s important to stop, reassess and pivot if needed.

Could I do things differently so I get everything done? Absolutely. I can see where I need to improve.

Are there things that are of more importance right now that should be on my Powerlist instead? Definitely. I wasn’t prioritizing correctly.

At the end of the day, in addition to getting a win, I want to ensure that my energy is high and my health is on point.

I’m no longer willing to sacrifice either of those. Long gone are the days of no sleep in the pursuit of someone else’s dreams.

So unfortunately I’ll have to take an L today – which my ego hates – but will serve me well in setting up my day tomorrow.

I’m winding down the evening with some yoga, energy work and meditation to ensure that I get a great sleep, and that I’ll be able to write a W on the top of my Powerlist tomorrow – and I can get back on that winning train.

That’s setting me up for success!
