Sometimes things get worse before they get better
I’m in the process of implementing some new changes and I forgot how out of sorts that can feel.
I had a nice rhythm going, and now I feel like I have two left feet.
I even feel like I’m forgetting to do certain things, just because things have been shifted around in my day.
Sometimes on the way to what you want – when you course correct and make some necessary changes – things get a bit messy while you get your bearings.
It may feel like you’re taking one step forward and two back.
It’s not the time to throw in the towel.
Keep at it.
Just like when you learned to drive a car, things were a bit clunky at first and took up a lot of brain capacity – and now you’re at an unconscious competence level and barely notice what you’re doing.
I know if I want things in my life to be different, I have to continually make changes and be willing to do things differently.
So I’ll be patient with the process and keep plugging away with determination and persistence – knowing that sometimes it seems like things get worse before they get better – but they’re really on their way to a whole new awesome.
