What if everyday was Thanksgiving?

Today is Thanksgiving in Canada. It’s a day I’ll spend focusing on gratitude, reflecting and enjoying delicious food and time with loved ones.

I am especially thankful this year. It’s been a very enlightening and spiritual year for me.

Through this pandemic there has been amazing opportunity for stillness and for growth. I am so grateful for the time it gifted me to go within, to become more conscious, to develop more presence, to practice integration and embodiment, to connect deeper with nature, to self reflect, to ask better questions, to learn and grow – and to be present for Truth.

Humans have a greater opportunity to grow and awaken through challenge. It’s certainly been a year filled with an abundance of opportunities and a truly amazing time to be alive and to evolve.

I’m grateful that this time has highlighted where I need to grow and make changes, and especially where I need to be more loving, forgiving and compassionate. I’m grateful for the space it’s given me to course correct.

I’m grateful for a deeper understanding of Truth and what matters most.

I’m deeply grateful for my children – Josh and Taylor – who are my greatest teachers and who I was blessed to spend this time with. They are the two people in this world whom I love the most and who challenge me the most. I am grateful for the ups and the downs. I’m grateful to hear their laughter, to receive their hugs, to see their smiles. I’m even grateful for the tears. I’m grateful for each day we have together. I’m grateful they have each other. I’m grateful they picked me as their Mom.

I’m grateful for all of my family and relationships. Each is a beautiful assignment and a blessing. Thank you for pushing me to grow. Thank you for your patience as I figure “me” out and better learn to apply spiritual principles – and for understanding as I continue to choose to be MIA.

I’m grateful for each of my mentors who have provided me with such a strong foundation. I have been truly blessed with each step I’ve taken on my spiritual and personal development journey. I’ve been guided to the most amazing teachers. They are helping to shape who I am and helping me to be the light I want to be in the world, so I can make a positive impact on my family, the planet and humanity. So I can be the change I want others to become.

I’m grateful for starting this blog and for having a place to express myself and reflect. Although I still don’t know where this is going, lol, I’m grateful to have the opportunity to find my voice.

I’m so grateful for all of the tools, techniques, principles and practices that I have been accumulating in my “toolbox” – and using daily – without which, this could have been a very difficult year. They have been an immense blessing in my life!

Keeping my energy levels high through Non Material Source Energy Medicine (NMSEM), building circuits and doing BodyAwake yoga with Dr. Sue, deepening presence with Eckhart Tolle, meditating with Preethaji and Krishnaji, keeping balanced with B.E.S.T. and my iChing tools, and doing my daily A Course In Miracles workbook lesson – each has contributed to my inner peace and consciousness.

I’m grateful to be alive, to be on this journey to awaken, to have this body to navigate with – to have eyes to see all of the beauty around me, to have ears to hear my kids, to have feet that carry me out to the river each day.

I’m grateful and proud to be Canadian and for this beautiful, spectacular country we live in. I’m grateful for our brothers and sisters to the South – I have a lot love for the United States and think of them with great respect and appreciation. I’m grateful for every being on this planet – we are all One.

My heart is truly full. There is so much to be grateful for. Today and always. I am truly blessed.

As I continue to reflect on all that I am grateful for today, I can’t help but wonder what the world would be like if we treated each day as if it were Thanksgiving.

What if all challenges were perceived as the blessings they are, if our hearts were overflowing with love and gratitude and we treated each being with kindness?
