Who do you listen to?
This past year has really helped me to hone in on who I should be listening to.
It was a year that revealed a lot about people and their “come from”, their foundation, their beliefs and values.
I must admit that I was disappointed in some of my teachers – their actions did not line up with their teachings and their come from was that of scarcity and victimhood.
It was a great separator.
I get it. I’m a student and have so much growing to do myself, but this had me perplexed.
I certainly don’t expect perfection from my teachers, however their “come from” says so much about the direction they’re heading. It’s the foundation from which they teach and lead, so those limiting beliefs will ultimately impact me if I’m not conscious of it.
I say that from a place of compassion. I’m 100% cheering them on and truly want them to win.
I know that while here on this beautiful planet we take these human, physical bodies, we each operate at different consciousness levels and we each have our lessons to learn.
I’m also conscious of the fact that we become the average of the people we spend the most time with, so I am very selective on who those people or teachers are – despite always listening with discernment.
The people I want to spend the most time learning from are emulating at a foundational level who I want to become.
In my eyes, there really were some stars who emerged throughout 2020 and I felt very fortunate and blessed for their leadership, creativity, adaptability, strength, wisdom, perseverance, passion and abundance mindset.
It was very inspiring and exciting to watch them thrive and serve at a such a high level.
They modelled for me who I want to become in life and in business.
We each have the power to choose how we react or respond to our circumstances and to see it as happening TO or FOR us.
We also have the power to choose who we listen to – so choose wisely.
