You'll do what's important to you
When we're honest with ourselves, we're doing what's most important to us.
We may think something is important - but based on our actions or inactions - clearly it isn't.
If you're not sure what's important to you or what you value, just look at how you're investing both your time and your money.
This is an eye opening exercise.
It's not about judging yourself - it's about getting honest with yourself.
It's about acknowledging what is and taking full responsibility for your decisions.
With this new awareness you can stop beating yourself up and realize that if you're not making time for it, it's just on your "vent" list, meaning you like complaining about it more than taking action on it.
Or perhaps you'll decide that it is important to you and that you're ready and willing to take the necessary steps to prioritize those required actions.
When I was overweight I would complain about it and make lots of excuses but I wasn't willing to take the right actions - until I was.
I finally got honest with myself and I made the time.
If you don't have the results you're after in any area of your life, the truth is, it's probably just not as important to you as you thought it was.
What you do with that knowledge is where the opportunity lies.
It can be a tough pill to swallow, but it starts with looking yourself in the mirror and telling the truth.
